the first easter

Happy Good Friday!

The very first Easter taught us (this:) that life never ends and love never dies.
-Kate McGahan

This is such a beautiful quote and I really enjoyed making it into some printspo for y'all. It's so true, and a great thing to remember, I think, during this season. Easter is closer than ever, and I'm enjoying that and studying that event in the NT.

Be sure to check out some other Easter prints & posts, and I hope you enjoy the holiday and rest of this sweet spring season.

it's not about the bunny...

HEY, everyone! As I write this I'm still on a spiritual high from #generalconference and just an emotional high because I FINALLY released Easter Personal Progress & an AMAZING post on some gorgeous Secret Sister gifts. They're both free and super fun.

So, this FRIDAY'S quote will be... "It's not about the bunny, it's about the lamb."

Get it? Lol, there's not much more to say that isn't said in this amazing lil' quote above.

"It's not about the bunny. It's about the lamb."

And sometimes acknowledging this can be hard! I know it!

Because the bunny is cute (that bunny up there is soo stinking cute) and the Peeps and eggs and candy and baby chicks and ducklings and pastel colors (my true love) are ALL! SO! CUTE!

But I think it's important to know they're not necessary. When you start feeling obligated to do all these things -- easter baskets, easter pics, dresses, decor, egg hunts, etc etc, then suddenly Easter has you in that insane hustle of the holidays.

But if you don't feel like you HAVE to do all of these fun extra Easter things, they're just amazing memories you can build with your family and take charge over with love!

So let's remember! Let's remember the reason for this season, and look out for some more spirituallllll Easter quotes I'll be sharing before the big day. ;)

If you need a super awesome Easter YWs lesson, well, I may be biased, but as I created this lesson resource all I could think was, "This would be so fun for Easter!" It's all about our Savior, I taught it a few weeks back so it's tested, approved, and we all loved the supercute activities and the amazing tiny testimony mtg! Go check it out  on my shop!

Wishing you all the very best Easter.

four super fly secret sister gifts

HEY, everyone, I'm so excited to be over-using the caps-lock and exclamation point keys, girls camp is COMING and I have these amazing Secret Sister gift ideas I get to share with you all.

Here is our little spread...

And I'm going to give you all of the free pretty printables and show you how to make them.

gift #1: battery-powered twinkle lights

My tent-mate got these last year, and we loved having some extra light in our tent. It made everything less rustic and a little more welcoming, like a cute little dorm room. I bought this set for $8, there are cheaper ones, but you have to purchase lithium-ion batteries to use with them, and this one is compatible with AAs. I was perfectly satisfied with the set I purchased, there's a lot of lights and it works perfectly.

I just slipped some batteries in there for them, closed the case, and then taped the gift tag on the back. I'll write their name on with a Sharpie at camp, obviously, and then I added some cute ribbon on the side.

To go with the gift, I just created a tag that says "you 'light' up the world with your beautiful smile." It goes with the gift and ik this is true about anyone!! I created it so it fits on the twinkle lights I ordered perfectly (they come in a plastic case), but there's no reason you can't use it even if you purchase other sets.

gift #2: nail polish

Who doesn't like a good amount of some nail polish? I figured it could be fun to do nails in some of our 6-hour periods of free time, lol, so that's the second gift! I just bought a pack from 5-Below, obviously, you can get nail polish anywhere. I like 5-Below's $5 packs that have 12 cheap little bottles of nail polish. ;)

I sometimes have the problem of holding onto things because I think they can someday be useful, and it felt so good to actually use this really adorable tiny bag to hold the nail polish(see above.) I don't even know when I randomly picked it up so I couldn't say what it was from, but I love those packs of, like 500 cellophane gift bags with those ties, those would be super budget-friendly esp if you're doing this for a whole YW group. I then threaded it through the drawstring tie portion of the cute lil bag.

The print says, "You're toe-tally amazing" since it's nail polish.

gift #3: water bottle

Of course, a crucial part of Girls Camp is the hike. Hydrate or die-drate, peoplesssss. A water bottle is a great secret sister gift!

I just used a hole punch, made a hole in the amazing gift tag, and did a simple slip knot to keep it in place. I love how easy all of these are!!

The gift tag just says "You're so cool." Nice and... punny, ew, agh, I can't.

gift #4: trail mix

It's making me sad already to think about the last day of 2019 girls camp. And I love the idea of a cute jar of trail mix to enjoy on the ride home.

Okay, I didn't know this, and I'm happy to laugh at my stupidity, but you can buy pre-made Chex mix. Like, what? I felt so productive just putting the Chex mix into the ADORABLE mason jar, and then I taped the print on the lid.

I'M ACTUALLY IN LOVE WITH THIS PRINTABLE. It is sooooo cute, just like all the other ones, but STILL, it is just way too gorgeous. See from the nice aerial view? It is pretty tiny, but fits perfectly on the lid, due to my circle measurements. ily geometry!! Jk.

Ly'all and hope you enjoy your girls camp!

spring has sprung

Spring is in the air, everyone! Finally, time to get out of the house, enjoy the fresh air, and Easter, and OH MY GAWSH T-MINUS 1 DAY UNTIL GENERAL CONFERENCE?!?

I'm so excited to share this cute lil' print with y'all. I like how it turned out with a fun color palette and a bunch of nice embellishments. If you enjoy, please Pin it, and while you're around, maybe check out some of the new posts on the blog!

I just posted Easter Personal Progress, which you'll want to grab a free copy of before it's too late,   bc time seriously needs a speeding ticket at the rate it's flying by. I'm so excited to keep posting and showing up with some amazing Personal Progress and other ideas and pretty prints for you.

And. It is almost Girls Camp season. I know that people have already been planning in my stake, so we're going to start putting some awesome stuff out there, it's going to be ahmazing. I'm super stoked to share a post on Secret Sister gifts, including adorable gift tags, and to give them out. Lol, keep an eye out for that coming soon, and many more Girls Camp redesigns to come!

Thanks for heading on over, and I hope you enjoy spring and general conference!

easter personal progress

Oh my goodness, we have such a late Easter this year!!!

I don't know if it is just me or not, but it seems like General Conference and Easter coincide a lot! I have vivid memories of going to Easter pancake breakfasts, then hustling over back to catch the morning session at noon. (Yep. East Coast Squad...)

So, hey, maybe we can take advantage of them being apart and see where it takes us. Focus more on General Conference while it happens, and Easter when it happens... literally 3 weeks later. Lol.

Back to what you have been actually wanting to hear about... Easter Personal Progress!

I've shifted my focus from PP worksheets this year, instead of mass-producing 65,000 ideas of what you can do for each holiday, I'm really trying to create 1 amazing worksheet to hand out, and I hope that you enjoy my small offering. AND! I ALSO MADE AN AMAZING EASTER FAITH IN GOD WORKSHEET! I'm sorry. But I had the Personal Progress worksheet all created, and then, no, that just wasn't enough because I had to go the extra mile and show up with TWO supercute worksheets for you all.

Now, just because the two say "Faith in God" and "Personal Progress" doesn't mean you can't do them. I would totally recommend the "Faith in God" worksheet for any Christian, actually, it's a really great outline and study of the Holy Week.

So, you can get...

Easter Personal Progress here.

And Easter Faith in God (super awesome Holy Week Bible study) here.

Remember, these are free so pls, pls, do not reproduce them, sell them, etc, blah blah blah. It's not nice! Or legal! Lol. ;)

On the flip side, pls share this with anyone you think would LOVE it! I'm talking handouts on Easter Sunday for the YW, maybe an Activity day activity, there is so much you can do with these prints. With your Pinning & support, we can get it out there!

I think they turned out pretty dang awesome if you ask me. If you loved these worksheets, I have a few more. For every Personal Progress experience! Go to the "search" bar to find whatever experience you're working on.

HAPPY EASTER everyone! I loooooved working on these and creating them, really reminded me of why we celebrate Easter, more of which I'll be posting on later!

Wishing you all the very best Easter and hope you enjoy the worksheets.
