As a young child, I remember learning about Samuel the Lamanite and being amazed that the stones and arrows of the unbelievers couldn't hit him.  Now that I'm older, what amazes me is Samuel's willingness to get up on the wall and preach to the angry crowd.

The Lord called Samuel to the work and he followed the prompting without hesitation.  He had already been preaching to the people for "many days" and had been cast out, so Samuel knew how hard it was going to be.  Was he worried about his own safety?  Had he been told the Spirit would protect him?  Or was Samuel's faith so pure that he was willing to do whatever it took to deliver his message, even if it cost him his life?

That's a kind of faith worth developing.
